How Does God See Me? – ¿Cómo me ve Dios?

God sees me as His own, forever.

To all who received Him, He gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)

Dios me ve como suyo, para siempre.

A todos los que creyeron en él y lo recibieron, les dio el derecho de llegar a ser hijos de Dios.

God sees me as His  handiwork.

We are God’s masterpiece. (Ephesians 2:10)

Dios me ve como una obra suya.

God sees me as His friend.

Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. (John 15:15)

Dios me ve como su amigo.

God sees you as a chosen one, holy and beloved.

God chose you to be the holy people He loves. (Colossians 3:12)

He is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. (Psalm 95:7)

Christian Principles for Kids: Discipleship

A disciple is defined as a “follower of Jesus,” “a learner,” “one who follows in the master’s footsteps,” “someone who is aiming to be like Jesus.” Disciples seek to learn, study, and then follow and apply what their teacher tells them.

We are students of Jesus—our Master. We seek to not only learn about His life on earth, the truths of God’s Word, and His nature and character, but we seek to follow His example and to live as He taught us to live, to love as He loved, and to live a life of faith.

What should we strive to be like? The following Bible passage provides some insight:

“The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22–23).

The Sermon on the Mount also serves as a guide, as Jesus highlights as blessed those who are merciful, meek, and peacemakers, and those who hunger and thirst after righteousness (Matthew 5:3–9).

Discipleship is a spiritual journey, a faith journey. It involves daily choices and actions to operate under the influence of the Holy Spirit and God’s love, to obey Him to the best of our ability, to testify of His love through our words and actions.

Principios cristianos para niños: Discipulado

Un discípulo es un seguidor de Jesús, un aprendiz, uno que sigue las pisadas de su maestro, uno que aspira a ser como Jesús. Un discípulo desea estudiar, aprender y a continuación seguir y aplicar lo que su profesor le enseña.

Nosotros somos pupilos de Jesús; Él es nuestro Maestro. No solo ansiamos conocer cómo fue Su vida en la Tierra, cuáles son las verdades contenidas en la Palabra de Dios y cuál es Su naturaleza y forma de ser, sino que también anhelamos seguir Su ejemplo y conducirnos como Él nos ha enseñado, amar como Él amó y vivir conforme a la fe.

¿Cómo debemos aspirar a ser? Los siguientes pasajes de la Biblia nos dan algunas luces:

«Este es el fruto que el Espíritu produce en nosotros: amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fidelidad, humildad y dominio propio» (Gálatas 5:22,23)

El Sermón de la Montaña también nos sirve de guía. En él Jesús resalta que bienaventurados son los misericordiosos, los mansos y los pacificadores, amén de los que tienen hambre y sed de justicia. (Mateo 5:3-9)

Ser discípulo se trata de una travesía espiritual, un viaje de fe. Requiere decisiones y acciones cotidianas con el fin de obrar bajo la influencia del Espíritu Santo y del amor de Dios, obedecerlo lo mejor posible, y dar testimonio de Su amor mediante nuestras palabras y acciones.

Jesus Heals a Sick Woman

A large crowd gathered around Jesus.

A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped.

“Who touched me?” Jesus asked.

Everyone denied it, and Peter said, “Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.”

But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.”

When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she fell to her knees in front of him. She explained why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Jesús cura una mujer enferma

Mucha gente se amontonó alrededor de Jesús.

Entre esa gente estaba una mujer enferma. Desde hacía doce años tenía una enfermedad que le hacía perder mucha sangre. Había gastado todo su dinero en médicos, pero ninguno había podido sanarla. Ella se acercó a Jesús por detrás, tocó levemente su manto, y enseguida quedó sana.

Entonces Jesús le preguntó a la gente: —¿Quién me tocó?

Como todos decían que no había sido ninguno de ellos, Pedro le dijo: —Maestro, ¿no ves que todos se amontonan a tu alrededor y te empujan?

Pero Jesús volvió a decirles: —Estoy seguro de que alguien me ha tocado, pues sentí que de mí salió poder.

Cuando la mujer vio que ya no podía esconderse, se arrodilló delante de Jesús. Contó por qué había tocado el manto de Jesús, y cómo de inmediato había quedado sana. Jesús entonces le dijo a la mujer: —Hija, fuiste sanada porque confiaste en mí. Puedes irte en paz.

Jesus told the people, “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.”

“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

Jesús dijo, “Ustedes son la sal de la tierra. Pero ¿para qué sirve la sal si ha perdido su sabor? ¿Pueden lograr que vuelva a ser salada? La descartarán y la pisotearán como algo que no tiene ningún valor.

Long ago on a bed of hay,
A little newborn baby lay.
He lay quite still and didn’t cry,
But looked around with a curious eye.
A little baby sent to earth,
A very special kind of birth.
“But this is just a child we see.
Isn’t He as human as you and me?
Yet something’s shining in His face,
A sweet and tender look of grace.”
What is it in Him we see there?
His mother sits, and though we stare
And try to understand this wondrous child,
She only pats Him with a smile.
She has been told by heaven’s own
Of what will happen when He’s grown.
How He will teach and help and share
With all who love God and who care
To learn how they can love more, too.
He will have much work to do.
And He will leave her, this she knows,
As to His destined task He goes.
And then one day His life He’ll give
So those who trust in Him can live.
She knows all this and sighs within.
But His sacrifice will conquer sin
And pain and death and so much wrong.
This future promise makes her strong.
So she and we look at His face,
Smiling gently in His place,
And contemplate all that will be done
By this little one, God’s Child, His Son.

Hace mucho tiempo en un lecho de heno
se hallaba acostado un niño pequeño.
Muy quietecito y nada lloroso,
lo miraba todo con ojito curioso.
Un bebé enviado a la Tierra,
cuyo nacimiento un misterio encierra.
¿No es acaso este un niño profano
como cualquiera otro ser humano?
Sin embargo, Su rostro resplandece
con una mirada que enternece.
¿Qué vemos en este pequeñín?
¿Será un plebeyo o un paladín?
No entendemos a este asombroso niño
mientras Su madre le hace cariño.
Por medios celestes a ella se le ha informado
lo que para Él está predestinado:
que enseñará y transformará a todo
el que quiera lo eterno, lo no transitorio,
amar a Dios y ser Su ayudante.
Tendrá una misión muy grande.
La dejará a ella y se hará peregrino
cuando se aboque a cumplir Su destino.
A la postre entregará Su vida
para que se salven los que en Él confían.
La madre lo sabe y emite un leve lamento.
Mas al pecado Él vencerá con Su sufrimiento,
además del mal, el dolor y la muerte.
Esa promesa a la madre la hace fuerte.
Contemplamos Su rostro con ella,
el cual nos sonríe como una estrella,
y meditamos sobre lo que hará esta criatura,
el Hijo de Dios, que iluminará la noche oscura.

Praise and thank the Lord before presenting requests to Him.

Psalm 95:2: Let’s come into his presence with thanksgiving; let’s make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

Psalm 100:4: Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name.

Bring your every need to God in prayer.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need. (Philippians 4:6)

Pray in faith.

Matthew 21:22: And whatever things you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

Mark 11:24: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Pray in Jesus’ name.

John 14:14: If you ask me anything in My name, I will do it.

John 16:23: Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

Pray according to His will.

1 John 5:14–15: And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

Alaba y da gracias al Señor antes de hacerle peticiones.

Salmo 95:2. Acerquémonos ante su presencia con acción de gracias; aclamémosle con salmos.

Salmo 100:4 Entren por sus puertas con acción de gracias, por sus atrios con alabanza. Denle

gracias; bendigan su nombre.

Acude a Dios en oración por cada necesidad.

Oren por todo. Díganle a Dios lo que necesitan. (Filipenses 4:6)

Ora con fe.

Mateo 21:22. Todo lo que pidan en oración, creyendo, lo recibirán. 

Marcos 11:24. Por eso les digo que todas las cosas por las que oren y pidan, crean que ya las han recibido, y les serán concedidas.

Reza en el nombre de Jesús.

Juan 14:14. Si me piden alguna cosa en mi nombre, yo la haré.

Juan 16:23. De cierto les digo que todo cuanto pidan al Padre en mi nombre, él se lo dará. 

Procura que tu oración sea acorde con Su voluntad.

1 Juan 5:14-15. Y esta es la confianza que tenemos delante de él: que si pedimos algo conforme a su voluntad, él nos oye. Y si sabemos que él nos oye en cualquier cosa que pidamos, sabemos que tenemos las peticiones que le hayamos hecho.
